Education

Sexual health education is an important part of a young person's curriculum- if it is taught in an uncensored, medically accurate, age appropriate manner.

Misperception:

Sex education is not a public issue. It is a private matter, handled by parents.

Misperception:

By educating teens about birth control, we are actually encouraging them to have sex.

Misperception:

If we limit sexual health education to an “abstinence-only until marriage” curriculum, sexual activity rates—and therefore teen pregnancy, STI and HIV rates—will drop.
